Hire a calm, affordable, accessible, and caring web designer.

What is it? Who is it for? Why does it matter? How, when, and where is it done? It sounds simple enough to answer these questions, until it's not.

By hiring me, you can hand off your website or improve your brand's web strategy from right where you are. And finally, you can start to move from a state of second-guessing your website and yourself to "I'm ready."

Featured Project: Columbia University Coaching Conference Website

A Recent Full-Stack Site Puts Wix Studio and CMS to the Test

A lot of people are always asking me. Why Wix? Why not WordPress, or something else? Wix has built in exactly what you may want for your service, coaching program, community business, or event. Much more is possible without so many outside tools, subscriptions, plugins, apps, and web processes to maintain. The Columbia University Coaching Conference website was a great challenge and advancement in my design business, where I decided to partner with Wix Studio.

Wix has a Built-in Events App, Agenda, and Calendar

A Fully Equipped Event Management App

The Wix Events app that comes built in with any Wix or Wix Studio website was able to list both the upcoming and previous conference events. On each event, it was simple to attach recap documents or summaries, link to an outside registration, and add a gallery.

Plus, we could create an agenda so people can filter and save their own track. All are making the Columbia Coaching Conference website a more integral tool for running the event.

A Full Lineup of Speakers and Speaker Bios

This Full-Stack Conference Website Put the Wix CMS to the Test

I created a new Wix CMS collection, a custom spreadsheet with some organizational and web architecture thoughts, and then card elements on the front of the website. These cards are connected to the right spreadsheet columns and fields to automatically populate and order.

This foundational setup using the Wix CMS empowered the Columbia University Teachers' College board and leadership team to add over 90 keynotes, event speakers, their presentation titles, team members, and bios to their conference website. The possibilities for dynamic pages and experiences in a breeze with Wix are endless.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the primary difference between a freelancer and an agency?

The main difference is how the work is structured and who you’re working with day to day. As a freelancer, you work directly with me. That means fewer layers, clearer communication, and decisions made with context, not handoffs. Agencies often involve multiple roles, timelines, and overhead, which can be helpful for large-scale needs. My approach is intentionally lower volume and more personal, focused on clarity, alignment, and practical outcomes rather than speed, scale, or production-style workflows.

How long does a typical done-for-you website design and build take?

Most done-for-you website projects take between six and ten weeks from kickoff to launch. The timeline depends on scope, responsiveness, and how much clarity exists at the start. I build in space for thinking, feedback, and real-life schedules, not rushed decisions. This isn’t about moving fast for the sake of it. It’s about creating something that reflects your work, supports your business, and doesn’t need to be redone six months later because it was pushed through too quickly.

What should I have ready to ensure my project is completed smoothly?

Being clear matters more than being perfect. Before we start, it helps to have a general sense of your business offer, audience, goals, and any existing brand or website assets. You don’t need polished copy or final visuals on day one. We’ll refine as we go. What matters most is timely communication, honest feedback, and a willingness to make decisions as they come up. The smoother the collaboration, the steadier and more effective the outcome.

What happens to my website if I have an emergency or if you were to go out of business?

You fully own your website, domain, and hosting plan. Nothing is locked behind me or proprietary systems. Sites are built with low or no code, minimal plugins, and simple, stable foundations that don’t require constant maintenance. For peace of mind, I offer dedicated annual support packages starting at $500, which cover updates, help, and emergencies. If I were ever unavailable, your site would still function, and another professional could step in without friction.

What website and design platforms do you support or work with?

I work with Wix, Wix Studio, Squarespace, WordPress, and Canva, depending on what fits your business and comfort level best. I also help connect your site to outside tools you already use, like email marketing platforms, client management systems, booking tools, analytics, or payment processors. The goal isn’t to stack software. It’s to create a simple, connected system that supports how you actually work and reduces friction in your day-to-day operations.

Do you have a lead time for new projects or a support option without a package?

Yes. New projects typically have a one to two-week lead time to begin, depending on scope and availability. If you don’t need a full package, I also offer hourly support for specific updates, fixes, or guidance. You can reach out in whatever way feels easiest: send a message, email me, or book another free consultation call on Zoom. We’ll talk through what you need and decide on the simplest, most supportive next step.

Get to Know Me

After more than 10 years in marketing agency leadership, building high-stakes websites, content strategies, and chasing new business, I craved a way out. After having two kids, everything started to shift. I felt tired, pulled in too many directions, and like I was trying at all costs to keep up.

As I learned how to be a better mom to my family and myself, I knew I didn’t want to start over. I wanted to build a more flexible, simple, compassionate career path where my high amount of care, clarity, and communication matter more than constant output.

Doing this freelance work as a creative and skill-building outlet for me, and for you, to have someone you can trust with your online image, feels light, purposeful, and lasting.
